Mid-Winter Challenge Meet-up (Feb. 10 at 3:15 pm): Come join folks as they get out on the Prospect Hill training Courses in Waltham, MA. You can walk, jog, or train for an upcoming elite competition. The point is to have folks in the woods at the same time (safety, camaraderie, or map de-briefing, you get the picture). There will be a "Mappy Hour" (anyone who wants to join for food and/or a beverage is welcome) at the CRAFT Food Hall. The venue is located in the parking lot. It is an all-age friendly location (come and go as you please).

The event is free for everyone but we need you to sign up so that we can prepare enough maps. If you are not a NEOC member, please sign up and then bring the waiverto the event. What else: No SI device (timing) needed. Social: We have a room reserved for orienteering folk, family, and friends (4:30 - 7:30) at Trinktisch. It's about a five minute drive from Beaver Brook to Belmont Center. Really keen folks could even run or bike it! Trinktisch has a family-friendly menu and attitude. Fall Series prizes will be distributed at the social. They go to the top athletes on each course, and there will also be a few surprise bonus awards! There will also be some extra gear (clothes) for sale (some new and some old!).
Prouty Woods (Littleton, MA): Join folks who have ventured into the early winter season woods at our new map and event location. There are four BYOM courses: White, Yellow, Orange, and Get-Em-All (28-control score-O). This event runs through December 10.
