Fall Orienteering Season 2020

NEOC is excited to be able to offer a variety of activities for our community this fall! Here are the updates:

Public Bring-Your-Own Map Events: Public Bring-Your-Own-Map Events will be available at various locations this fall. Events will either be a single day or multi-day activity. Results will be posted on the website and you will be able to either self-report your times or use the QRorienteering phone app. Here are the first scheduled events.

• Prospect Hill (Waltham): 8/22-9/4
• Wanderings (Winchester & surrounding towns): 9/5- 9/13
• Noon Hill (Medfield): 9/12-927

Members can orienteer for free and non-members can participate at $5/event. Map downloads are available using the event information links above.

Trainings: We are planning to offer training activities on weekends when public events are not scheduled. These activities will be sent to the member list. New England Championships at Willard Brook (Cancelled): We have postponed the national event that was tentatively scheduled for October 2020. Fingers crossed we can make this event happen in 2021!

We are looking forward to seeing you in-person at some point in the future! In the meantime, our goal is to provide opportunities for you to get into the woods with a map!
