This four-week class (2/27-3/20), hosted by Lexington Recreation, is a collaboration between Navigation Games (teaching) and NEOC (providing the Whipple Hill map). It is part of our effort to introduce more people to orienteering through local Parks and Recreation departments. We are excited to be able to provide an opportunity to orienteer during the pandemic.
Because of COVID-19, the class size will be limited.
For the first three sessions, participants will take part in a set of progressive activities to develop orienteering and map reading skills. The final session will have an orienteering course using SPORTIdent. No prior knowledge of orienteering is necessary.
Register at the Lexington Recreation website. There is a $10 fee for non-resident program registrations. The cost is $155.
