Iltarastit is a type of orienteering event that maximizes fun and experience while minimizing organizer workload. At the start of the series, organizers put out streamers at all of the pre-determined control locations. For each event, a course is drawn given those control locations, with longer, shorter, and beginner options. Each event has a specific training purpose, whether that is an emphasis on route choices or a map memory exercise, but each event is also timed with e-punches. Basically, you can treat this as a "regular" orienteering meet with fewer options of advanced courses. This is a fun way to learn some new tricks for orienteering!
