This was a beautiful sunny fall day. Somewhat cold in the morning, i.e. perfect for orienteering. Prospect Hill always get a good crowd, because it’s close to Boston and still gives you some nice running. The park has shrunk since I arranged a meet there in 2010. It’s the development of the old Polaroid area. They have actually shaved off part of the hill, so the map had to be accommodated for that. 116 people showed up. I had expected fewer people since the US Nationals were held in NY the same weekend. There were 5 courses (White, Yellow, Orange, Brown, and Green). The meet worked fine. Small hitch: The yellow course was deemed difficult, because some of the controls couldn’t be seen from the path.
